FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I specialize in portrait photography. I have been shooting with models for many years. Although I started with Wildlife and Nature, I slowly moved into working with people as I felt it was less of a "waste of peoples time" to be shooting with an unexperienced photog when I was still learning. I have shot major concert festivals like EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival) and Groove Cruise. Weddings and engagement pics are one of my favorite things to shoot as well. After shooting as long as I have you have a tendency to work with many different tasks and therefor most likely have worked with that side of the industry already.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look at the available work. Ask to be referred to other clients. Study work. If their pictures do not look like something out of a magazine then most likely they are not for you. Budget cutting in this industry is for the "mom and pop" photographers and the product IS NOT the same. Most likely if they work a second job, the standard is not professional.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
To be careful. Price is there for a reason. You PAY for what you GET. It took me many years to hone my craft and be worthy of calling myself a professional. Be weary of the "best buy" photographer.
