Hi there! It’s an incredible experience to work with couples and provoke natural chemistry, capturing images that are above than anything else, true. I will never make your wedding about the photography, the photography will always be about your wedding. Your photos should never feel like a chore throughout your day, I always want you to be comfortable, relaxed, and most of all having fun. I also pride myself in being able to offer a wedding video option without requiring a separate team of camera operators. My complete package includes a 2-4 minute highlight film in addition to your photo coverage. These films capture the celebration, the vibe and the energy of your wedding day but without all the extra personel and equipment surrounding you and your guests. I happily provide photography for weddings and elopements of all sorts. My pricing is able to be tailored to any specifics of your wedding and reduced rates may be given for weekday and/or off-season weddings. All of my photos are delivered digitally via a downloadable online gallery. You will be able to access the high resolution files as well as retain full printing rights. Second photographer and rehearsal dinner coverage options are available.

James was absolutely amazing to work with. I'll admit I was a little nervous hiring a photographer online considering I was doing so from a different state and was not able to set up an in-person meeting prior to my wedding. This means the first time we actually met James was on our wedding day! But we emailed a ton and he was very responsive, and very personable, and insanely easy to work with!! He sent us 11 edited images the night of our wedding as a sneak peak and I was emailed a link and a code to download the rest just 3 weeks later!!! What we got was incredible and I could not have asked for a better person to take our photos; he immediately felt like an old friend and even went along with my family wanting to add on last minute shots 😉

We absolutely adore James! We could not have picked a better photographer for our event and he is going to continue to make a great name for himself in the industry. From the moment we met James we knew we had to choose him to capture our big day. James executed our vision perfectly. He is extremely professional and he is also an incredibly cool person who fit right in with our group and made everyone feel comfortable working with him. He was communicative throughout the entire process and could not have been more prepared. The day of our wedding he was very flexible and rolled with anything that we threw his way. When it got chaotic he kept his cool and orchestrated all the moving pieces and people. We woke up the next day to a handful of the most beautiful photos that he sent along as a preview and we cannot wait to see the rest. The way that he captures movement, light and all of the various elements produces photos that embody these special moments in an organic and breathtaking way. We are beyond pleased all around!

My pricing is able to be tailored to any specifics of your wedding or event. Discounts and reduced rates may be given for weekday and/or off-season weddings.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started by shooting music videos and promotional materials for my own band while were touring the world. When the band broke up, I held tight to my camera and traveled every creative path I crossed. When I moved to Charleston in 2015 I got myself involved in the wedding scene by working as a second shooter for one of the leading Charleston wedding videographers. Once I learned the in's and out's of shooting weddings, naturally I began to branch out and photograph weddings on my own. It's been an incredible experience working with couples to capture their special day, and provide them with something they can cherish for the rest of their lives.
