I am the sweetest person you can ever meet and I will never make up stories. I live in Washington state and I don't know anyone that does make up for wedding here in Gainesville,Fl. So I decided to use Thumbthack to search for wedding make up artists. I had multiple qoutes and decided to choose Divine Beauty as they were hired many times and has good reviews. She were communicating well with me at first. Only to be disappointed that she did not even let me know ahead of time that she is not coming. She cancelled at 07:54 am on the day of my wedding, saying she's contagious. Very disappointed. I could have found somebody else to do it. She said she thought that she already texted me the day before the wedding. Luckily my makeup went well. But imagine the stress of knowing that your make up artist is not coming on the day of your wedding. She did not even provided a backup artists. Terrible!

I apologize again for not canceling in advance but I was very sick with strep throat which is highly contagious. I'm sorry I was not able to provide a backup artist, I did try calling a few people to see if they were available but I do not know many artist in Gainesville otherwise I would have found someone for you.

Kaitlyn did a wonderful job with my daughter and her wedding parties makeup. My daughter looked beautiful, the make up was perfect and lasted the entire evening. When I arrived I noticed how personable Kaitlyn was with all the girls. She went above and beyond what she was hired for and helped the girls with touch ups to their hair and anything else needed. Kaitlyn was an absolute pleasure to work with. She arrived on time and as mentioned stayed until everyone was happy and had everything they needed. Thank you again for helping to make daughters wedding a perfect day!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended makeup school and receive my fashion makeup certificate. I also went to esthetician school and graduated with my skin care license.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to get into my line of work because it's something I enjoy and makes me happy.
