- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are not going to be the low estimate or bid. Can and will work with numbers and give a line item estimate to show apples and oranges comparison so you can compare others to mine. I mark up materials 25% . That covers labor of picking through quality materials that are available and logistics.gas/ wear and tear on vehicle Skilled labor is not cheap… Cheap labor is not skilled
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went through a carpenters apprenticeship program after high school, and I have been doing my craft/trade for 34 years
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It all started at the young age of 16 working for my much older brother stick framing’s custom homes 2800 square feet average. In Indianapolis metro area in the late 80’s. Working Saturdays, holiday breaks, and summers. Started at the very bottom as breaking down lumber packages, packing materials to the crew, then working my way up to actually building floors, walls, ceilings, and roof systems…
