Hipnotic Movements

Introduction: Book Angelina for your next event! Shows run approximately 30 minutes, and include veil work, finger cymbals, and lots of audience participation! The Director of Hipnotic Movements, Angelina, has been dancing since the young age of 4. Her vivacious dance style is created by a blend of elements that range from her Greek heritage to her immense training in a numerous forms of dance such as tap, ballet, jazz, modern dance, hip-hop, Greek folk dance, Tahitian Hawaiian, and Belly Dance. She has love and passion for the art of belly dance which have opened many opportunities for her as she teaches, trains and performs. For the past six years, she has been one of the featured belly dancers at Acropolis Greek Taverna, while also performing at private events and many other Bay Area Restaurants. Angelina starred in the independent film "Real Premonition" in 2006 as the opening belly dancer and performed as "Little Egypt" with The Coasters in their Lakeland /Orlando Concert in 2008. She has danced at Disney's Epcot Center with the famous Kef Time Band which features Richard Hagopian and Hachig Kazarian, Abdeliah Tahour of the popular band "Mo'Rockin". She has also peroformed with many other live Arabic and Greek bands and she has studied with many Belly Dance artists, including Ansuya, Bozenka, Astred Farah De Michelle, and more. She is a co-creator of a Belly Dance Showcase, the Harem Hafla, at Mythos Greek Taverna in Clearwater on the last Wednesday of the month. Angelina also conducts workshops and classes. She views dancing as "an expression of the soul, a spiritual forum, and a releasing of the mind".
