I am a retired university professor; I have a Ph.D. in measurement and evaluation (the degree for those who make the SAT/ACT/ASVAB, etc.) and a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology (so I also help students with memory tricks, time management, and to overcome test anxiety). I want you to have fun learning. I have several tricks and tips that help students learn more effectively while also making them smile. I think of ways that the student will eventually apply the information in real life, too. This way, their brain will retain what they learn. I love seeing the light bulb go on over someone's head. They have just had an "ah-hah" moment, and that gives me a charge.

Tutor with the best by far exceeded my expectations for an SAT Tutor! My son took his SATs in May of 2022. He is a smart kid, but didn’t do well and usually doesn’t score well on standardized tests. I wasn’t sure what to expect but we had reached out because my son needed to retest in August as he was going into his senior year. My son worked with them 2 days a week during July and half of August (since he was retaking it the end of August). They taught him tricks on how to rule out the wrong answer and how to focus on the question itself - not get tripped up on what you think the obvious answer should be - which is key. I’m not sure what magic happened, but my son left the test feeling good but we never imagined he could go from a 910 to a 1300! Thank you Tutor with the best! You truly are the best! 🙌🏻

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$75 an hour. There is no need to book more than one session at a time. No commitments are needed concerning time frame - I am flexible to work within the timeframe of the client.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You are welcome to book a time with me to have a consultation or go straight to the calendar to either book a time to come to me or to a mutually convenient place and I also have a wonderful program which will enable me to work with you online. It enables me to write on my screen, and you see the answers appear on your screen. I can also see the things that appear on your screen when you want me to see them. I can record the entire session so that you can go back and watch it again for the things that you missed the first time.
