I hired Abundance Custom Catering and BBQ in August of 2017 for my late husband's Celebration of Life event at a local biker bar. Unfortunately, due to Hurricane Irma the event had to be postponed for late October. It was no problem. Alan Proteau accommodated with complete professionalism. On the event day, Alan and his staff set up smoked and cooked the food, again, with complete professionalism. The pulled pork and smoked chicken along with the sides of mac and cheese, baked beans, green beans, California mixed veggies, coleslaw, salad and rolls was served beautifully, buffet style. Everyone raved about the food and many people said it was the best they had ever had. I would have to agree!!! Abundance Custom Catering and BBQ is the best!!!

We had Big Al's cater my daughters wedding and it was fabulous! We had family members trying to get to the kitchen to find out the recipe for his some of the dishes served!!! All the food tasted great, was served nice and hot and on time! Thanks Big Al for a great event!!!

Our event has not taken place yet, but I already love Al and Abundance Catering. We had the tasting this past week and got to meet the owner of the company. Not only did Al take time to get to know us and our expectations for the event, but he also let us get to know him very well. He is so friendly and open, and it is clear to see he takes great value in his work. The food is flavorful and made with quality ingredients. I would highly suggest Abundance Catering to anyone!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We place a high priority on passing on the savings to our customers. Competitors will typically charge $30 at a minimum- we charge $12-$25 depending on the menu. We average $15 per person. We should talk on the phone to determine what your needs are for your special event.. Keep in mind that price per person will change for travel, menu, and upgrades. We will work with you on this too.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we like to get to know the customer. A few questions about the event and type of food they are considering for their guests. Then we build the perfect menu for the event. Next comes the tasting. From there the customer can choose plates and silverware, appetizers and even give a deposit. Then we are on our way!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over 30 years in the culinary field.
