Short story - This guy is GREAT. He will be our go-to guy for all painting and handyman work from now on. Long Story - We had some damage to a wall in our home after hurricane Ian. I had several estimates but then found Jerry Barnes through Thumbtack. MY EXPERIENCE - TOP 10 REASONS TO HIRE JERRY BARNES 1. He answered his phone and set up an appointment for an estimate very quickly. 2. He showed up on time, and listened to what I had to say. He was the only painter who asked to see leftover wall paint so he could use that or match it with the same brand. 3. I received his estimate that evening. It was concise and accurate. The estimate was very reasonable. 4. He was able to start the work the next week. He said it would take 3-4 days, about 3-4 hours per day (need to wait for mud, primer, etc. to dry). 5. He arrived exactly on time every day, and worked continuously, but not rushed. He stayed longer than anticipated (4-5 hours/day) in order to get everything done as scheduled. 6. After he finished the repair and was ready to paint, I made a comment about the wall texture match. Without blinking he said he would return tomorrow, sand off the texture, and do it over. Keep in mind, the texture he did was excellent, but I thought it was not a match with the other walls. He then redid the texture and painted the wall. 7. I noticed a crack in the exterior stucco and asked his opinion. He said I can fix that for no charge. The next day he came with stucco sealer and found 6 cracks, and repaired them all and then painted over the repair with some paint we had left over, including a different color trim around the windows. 8. He cleaned up after himself, even on his hands and knees wiping the baseboards. 9. He came back 2 days later and added a 2nd coat of paint. 10. The entire time he had a smile on his face. I think you can tell that I give him high marks and have no problem giving Jerry my highest recommendation.

Jerry’s communication throughout our 3 day job was very prompt and professional. He took on a difficult job installing a dishwasher in our kitchen and every step of the way was communicative up front about our costs, choices, and outcome. If he can perform the work you need done, hire him. You will not regret it.

Jerry reached out to verify the job and the issue at hand. An estimate was provided prior to the scheduled service. Jerry reached out the morning of to schedule a time and once a time was agreed upon, he messaged when he was on the way. He and his assistant showed up on time and got the job done. My showers work as expected and I am a happy customer. I would hire Jerry and his team any time.
