FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Local Radio= 150 for :15, :30, or :60 Local TV = " " " " " Corporate = 300.00 per hour (Above are VOICE ONLY!) Voice for individuals are all negotiable depending on the project. All on camera projects are negotiable due to the complexity or lack of same in where I have to be, when and how much we will be filming. Average rate on camera with voice is about 350 per hour. I say "about" because if a guy needs a gig that takes two hours and says he only has 350 in the budget for talent, I either say yay or nay. Everything is negotiable. If I don't have anything going on, which is rare as I am reading books constantly, I might do a gig for a hunnerd bucks. Never hurts to ask.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Ask what their specific needs are, time and locations convenient for them. Typically a spec spot for a commercial, audio or video for approval before billing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
There's lots of continuing "education" out there, but I don't participate unless it's a friend that needs the money. Most instructors in my business are just out of work actors like me with resumes that barely make a smudge on mine. I see no reason to pay to learn what I already know. I've written a book about the business, most of them haven't.
