FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Great question. My parents both passed away when I was in law school 15 years ago. I worked my way through law school and used credit cards to support myself. I ended up filing bankruptcy in 2008. When I learned what a powerful tool bankruptcy was I decided bankruptcy was where I wanted to help people.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
More than perhaps, any other field of law, experience matters. There are attorneys that are practicing right now that have filed less than 5 cases in their whole career. Don't let them practice on you.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Most important is how many bankruptcies have he or she filed. Thumbtack is a referral system that many very inexperienced attorneys use to generate business so the lawyer doesn't have to advertise themselves. I have filed over 11,000 bankruptcies here in Central Florida. This matters when you are looking for someone that will not drop the ball when your case is filed.
