My 11 year old son has shown an interest in learning more about chess and we were fortunate enough to come across Theo who happens to be local to our area. After meeting conveniently via Zoom, my son was instantly engaged and put at ease through Theo's explanations and thoughtful inquiries into strategies. He was able to share his screen and both talked through choices and decision making throughout the game. Additionally, he provided me with more resources available to help my son continue to practice and improve. We are looking forward to more sessions with himI would highly recommend him for anyone of any age looking to learn more or improve their chess game.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $50 USD/£40 GBP per hour. This includes my preparation for each lesson, extra time which I give every lesson, and an email after each lesson with the materials discussed.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If you have any recent games, then you should send me them so I can determine your strengths and weaknesses and we will go through these games together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Life Master and I rank in the top 0.8% of all US chess players. My peak FIDE rating is 2175 and my peak USCF rating is 2266. I have defeated GM Julio Becerra Rivero (2604).
