I have been golfing for a few years and I have reached a pretty good level on my own. I have trouble finding a good fit for a golf coach until I met John. He is very knowledgeable and is a great teacher. I have learned a lot just from a couple lessons. He is very personable and you can tell that he truly cares about your improvement. If you want to improve your game, John is a great choice!Aug 4, 2015Verified

My time with John Hughes was easily the best money and time I've spent on bettering my golf game in the past three years. His insight and ability to analyze others in regards to Golf and their game is awesome. The tools he has set him apart from most others in the field. The information he was able to provide me after just one session helped me turn my game around for the better in so many ways. You won't regret going to John for help and guidance with your game.Mar 11, 2016Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Not all golfers are the same. Therefore, not all golfers need a one-size-fits-all system of improvement. Unless I am conducting a seasonal special, you will always receive a quote asking for more information. Because you are unique, I need more specific information than you can supply within the quote template provided. Based upon your individual needs, I provide a customized rate of a variety of coaching programs I offer. In most cases, this is a one time rate for a one time Coaching Session. If you're interested in more than one Coaching Session, I do have discounted programs available. The more you commit to your improvement and the time you invest in that process, the larger the discount I provide. Lastly, please keep in mind the experience and tools I use during every Coaching Session. I have over 29 years of experience coaching all skill level golfers. I use advance technology and other tools with all programs I offer. And there is unlimited follow up by phone, text, email, or by live video lessons. With each rate quote provided to Thumbtack users, I provide a value over and above the less expensive quotes you may receive, simply because I am treating you as an individual, not a number.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Once we have finalized your first Coaching Session with me, you'll receive an email confirmation with a link to a Player Profile you'll complete prior to our scheduled Coaching Session. The Player Profile provides more detailed information about you as a golfer, and as a person, and will assist me with preparing for our Coaching Session. At the first Coaching Session, I'll ask you a few follow-up questions based on our conversation, as well as the Player Profile. This "get to know" time is purposely designed to create comfort for you and have you understand what to expect during our Session together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am constantly attending educational seminars or creating and presenting educational opportunities for fellow PGA Members. Every three years, the PGA requires all its Members to participate in a minimum amount of educational hours to be re-certified as a Class "A" Member of the PGA. I routinely earn the minimum within the first three months of the re-certification period, typically exceeding the minimum required hours by 20 times. I am also a PGA Master Professional, the highest educational and experience rank a PGA Member can obtain. Out of 28,000+ Members of the PGA of America, there are only 368 PGA Master Professionals.
