Renée and Denise transformed my messy pile of a closet into a literal shrine of organization. After a long, painful move from NY to FL, they lifted my spirit by arranging my closet the exact way I would’ve done it – they even sorted by color, season, and length. Renee was such a great help in starting with an overall view of what I need accomplished to set my house in order. She told me that often when you look at the entire house and see everything as a whole, it can be quite stressful and leave you at a loss as to where to begin. She advised that breaking it into smaller pieces leads to more success and is easier to manage in the future. Right away, Renee started with the master suite - she emphasized that this is where my day starts and ends and when that's simplified and in order, the rest of the house can be addressed one area at a time. That was absolutely wonderful and it's worked - I'm sleeping well and can now get around a clean and decluttered bath area. Renee also helped with a few high-reach areas in the living room to rearrange shelved items and we looked at the possibility of ultimately eliminating some furniture that had become storage and non-functional. She started me on simple declutter tasks before our next session: (1) take one box or bag or shelf at a time and address each item inside, (2) put items being kept into their appropriate room (boy, did I have stuff scatter all over this house), and (3) set aside unwanted items for Donation, Sale, or Trash. It's amazing how much this sorting has helped me work through piles and piles of 'stuff'. Renee also helped with hauling off donated items and helping me list some items on Facebook Marketplace. Have already been giving a more critical eye to the furniture and other possessions I have. Hmm, just might have some more purging to do. I am looking forward to having Renee back again to help keep me on track with my sorting and I'll definitely need her help with organizing the kitchen, garage, and two craft rooms.
