Vanessa is a gifted trainer with an immeasurably thorough knowledge of classical horsemanship and equine physiology. She is brilliant and explaining both the 'how' and the 'why' of riding technique in such a way that her students are able to absorb so much more than just 'riding the position.' She promotes a safe and positive attitude at all times. I'm thrilled to work with her!

I've owned my horse for 6 years, and taken lessons off and on for that time. I've learned more in 8 lessons with Vanessa than I have in those 6 years. I've learned more about me, my horse and dressage! I feel I'm being pushed a little out of my box, trying things I haven't tried, which has helped my confidence. I look forward to lessons, and love practicing between. I feel I've found a friend and trainer all in one!

Vanessa is an exceptional trainer. She balances high standards with compassion. She is skilled at setting clear objectives and helping you achieve them. I am an adult beginner who loves horses, rode as a kid, and finally have the opportunity to invest in riding. Coming into dressage as an adult is daunting mentally and physically. Vanessa breaks it down into solvable pieces. She is also a great advisor for sourcing tack and finding horses.
