FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As with most attorneys, I bill hourly. However, personal injury cases typically are compensated by receiving a percentage of the recovery, with nothing owed if nothing is recovered in the case.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We review the issue or concern, discuss ways to address it, answer any questions, agree to the scope of work, and finalize mutual expectations as to compensation, the amount of time involved, and potential outcomes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My practice focuses on complex commercial and civil litigation, including personal and business disputes, real estate litigation, employment law and personal injury matters. I am Martindale-Hubbell® rated "AV Preeminent," its highest rating, and Avvo rated "Outstanding," with a perfect 10/10 score. I have litigated a variety of cases in both state and federal courts, conducted depositions, resolved matters in mediation, and advocated for clients before administrative agencies. I have also served as in-house litigation counsel for a corporation, as well as in state government. I've been an attorney for more than 16 years and am a Florida native. I worked as a journalist at newspapers throughout Florida and in Washington, D.C., for nearly a decade prior to beginning my legal career. I obtained my law degree from Penn State, and my journalism degree from the University of Florida.
