I specialize in teaching Accent Reduction for ESL which includes a mixture of pronunciation, intonation, rhythm, and speaking exercises.
Along with pronunciation:
I teach Public Speaking for ESL where you will learn to sound more professional and confident while getting practice giving presentations.
I also coach Actors to speak with an American accent using scripts and monologues.
The class is $75/hour and I offer a discount for multiple classes/week or if you pay in advance.

I was very skeptical at first when I began looking for an English mentor to help with my language learning until I found Jessica. She is an excellent teacher and truly talented. I have been learning with her for a year, and I discover something new every single day. When I first started, my accent was very strong, and I struggled to pronounce certain vowels correctly. Without proper pronunciation, it's challenging to improve your accent. Thanks to her effective teaching, lessons, and materials, my accent has become less pronounced over time. Right now, I feel more comfortable speaking with others. While I cannot say I am fluent yet, especially since I am new to the country, I understand that language learning takes time; there is no magic solution. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I give a discounted rate for more than 2 classes per week or if you make payment in advance.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first class, which is free, is an Assessment of your English. After speaking together, reading out loud (and possibly taking an English level test) I will have a good idea about how many classes it will take to improve your accent.
I also let you know what areas we will be working on. It may be pronouncing the TH, R or A sounds or learning how to link English like native speakers do.

I have a bachelor’s degree from Boston University where I graduated cum laude (with honors) and a 120-hour TESOL Certificate in English as a Second Language. I am also certified by the National Tutoring Association and an SAT/ACT certified tutor.
