This is the first time I've ever worked with an interior designer and I loved working with Amy. She's super responsive, pushes you in terms of your design aesthetic but also listens and tries to incorporate any ideas you might have. It was an awesome experience and we are IN LOVE with our new home.Jul 23, 2018Verified
If there were a lifestyle magazine called “Single Dude Living,” my old apartment would have been a centerfold. My new place, however, should be in The New York Review of Books. In my first conversation with Amy I said I’d like to have a place where when people see it for the first time they say, “Wow, look what you did with the place.” Amy said that’s exactly what I’m going to get, and I can attest she delivered 100% on that promise. I have my own slice of Manhattan in a cozy place on the Main Line. Amy couldn’t have been more responsive and communicative throughout the process; she exudes confidence; has a wonderful sense of humor; she listened to my ideas; and I believe she struck the proper balance between being assertive with her professional take on the project and incorporating my tastes/style/wants etc. The size of this project (a small, one-bedroom apartment) didn’t dictate Amy’s level of involvement or enthusiasm. She gave my place more attention than I could have asked for. I lived at my prior apartment for close to four years. I haven’t been in the new place a month yet and I feel more at home already than I ever did in my previous place. An apartment isn’t just the framed pictures on your wall or the food in your fridge; it’s a reflection of yourself, and Amy was able to bring that out in interior design form in a way I would have never been able to do myself, even with an unlimited budget. It gives me great pleasure to post another 5-star review for Amy in hopes it brings her more business, because I am living in a 5-star apartment. Treat yourself to your own 5-star space and hire Amy.Oct 16, 2017Verified
It's my pleasure to highly recommend Amy Joy from Amy Joy Room Styling! She's an exceptional interior designer who is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her work. From the moment I met her, I knew our home would turn out beautiful. Amy Joy is amazing and exceeded our expectations! She was initially hired to design two rooms but we were so thrilled with her work, we asked her to finish the rest of the house. Amy Joy created the most beautiful home for our family! We get compliments every time friends or family come over, in great part due to the warm and inviting ambience she created. The exceptional service, attention to detail and product knowledge is an asset to anyone looking for a transformation to their interior space. The caring demeanour and excellent taste that Amy Joy brings to interior design has been a wonderful experience! Again, I highly recommend Amy Joy!... Robbie DSep 24, 2017

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge a fee based upon the project’s scope and size. Each project is unique and different.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The typical process for working with a new client starts with our initial consultation. I meet with the potential client and look at the project, listen to the client’s questions and thoughts, and we discuss various ideas that can enhance their environment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a B.A. from Temple University in Communications. I grew up in the retail and design world. My grandparents and parents were in the garment business so color, fabric, and design were always a part of my life! After I graduated college, I worked at Macy’s for several years as a Fashion Director, until leaving to start my own design company.
