- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
* I am able to increase a child's reading level in typically 8-12 hours of instruction and build a student's confidence as a reader. I also have 20 years of experience as a teacher. My tutoring sessions are $75. I offer a free consult with the parents to find out more about the child and his/her needs as well as a free reading assessment for your child.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
* The process to work together is very easy and can start in just 5 short steps: 1. Parents contact me with questions and/or to tutor their child. 2. The parent fills out a New Student Registration Form on my website so I know when the best time to contact them is. 3. The parent and I talk on the phone to discuss the child's tutoring needs and set up a time for the free reading assessment. 4. The student and I meet to do the free reading assessment and I talk with the parent afterwards to review the results and discuss a tutoring plan. 5. We begin to tutor and your child becomes a better reader!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
* I am a licensed teacher with a Master's Degree in Education with over 20 years of experience in working with students with diverse academic needs. I teach reading using specific philosophies and strategies (i.e Orton-Gillingham, Sonday, etc.) that use sequential, systematic, and multi-sensory instruction. I integrate technology into my instruction in order to make faster progress, make learning more fun, and to keep students engaged/focused
