It was a blessing to find Ted. He was professional, courteous, assessed the job and was able to complete it promptly. He did a good job, worked efficienty and left everything neat. I have been having a hard time finding a handiman with a good work ethic and now I have found one.

TLC Home was the only company out of 5 that responded and did so quickly. Ted set up appointment and arrived on time. Assessed issue with my front door rubbing threshold and went to work on the hinges. In a short time he was done and my problem was resolved. I would hire him again and asked him for an estimate on another project I need done around the house later.

Excellent in every way. Responsive, punctual, excellent work, fair in his pricing, goes above and beyond…just fantastic in every way. We had two handlesets that we were not able to install, but Ted handled it like the pro he is, and then fixed our sprung lanai patio door to finish up the time he had left. We thought we would have him take it off so we could get a new part, but he was able to fix it, and it works like new now. Ted has so many skill sets that we are going to have him work on some other projects at our home. Thank you, Ted!

Ted helped with mounting a curtain rod on a very large sliding door for me. He went above and beyond and helped with the job and took time to do it right. He was a genuine professional who cared that the work is done correctly and did not charge much for it. I would highly recommend him for any handy work. He is highly skilled at any handy work and he cares about his clients.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is probably one of the best in the area simply because we love the work and love helping people. We make sure you are satisfied with the work and price.
For service calls, our hourly rates are industry standard, $45 for the first hour, then $45/hr, plus parts and materials. The majority of our service calls are completed within 2 hours, so a typical residential job usually winds up costing around $150-250.
For installations and complex services that require per project pricing, we provide quotes that are either lump sum or time + materials, depending on the scope of work being performed. We make sure to discuss these issues upfront with our customers so there are no hidden surprises.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We listen to our customers needs, give our professional advice, give multiple options, perform work asap and then make sure you are satisfied!
The process typically starts with a phone call or follow up email to clarify a few requirements. From there, a site visit is scheduled so that we can identify any problems and discuss with the customer his/her needs and expectations. These steps generally give us enough information to provide the customer with an informed estimate of the work required, including labor and materials.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been doing handyman work, home remodeling, tig welding, for over 20 years. I worked for large companies but realized I can provide better quality work while saving the customer money.
