FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A trip fee is typically 90 dollars however currently through only thumbtack it is just 49 dollars. Once we arrive and diagnose the issue or preform a maintenance we will quote you for any repairs you may or may not need. Your bill will always be just 49 dollars unless you give us approval for perform any additional work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With every new customer we like to go through the whole system and ensure that everything is working properly. I will give you a example, I had a customer from thumbtack contact me in January 2026 because she wanted a thermostat replacement. We installed her thermostat for her and than went through her whole system. She had another company install her unit about 6 months ago and she called us because he was not avabile. I went through the system and found that her float switch was not wired right and her drain line was not glued. If your drain line backs up which is very common here in Florida than what would have happened is instead of her unit shutting off it would dump water on the floor or even if your unit is in the attic it would dump on to your celling. After fixing those 2 thing and than checking her system in heating and cooling i found that the unit was wired wrong and was running heating and cooling at the same time! So with that all being said we just go through the whole system for new customers because you never know what we will find.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
For me the contractor i went to Pinellas technical college located in saint Pete. After that i looked for the most knowledgeable company i could find which ended up being Heinz ac that later sold to another large company. While working at this company i went to after work training called racca to go through a apprenticeship which is 4 years to get my journeyman card. I mainly installed equipment at this job so after i felt like i gathered all of the knowledge i could for installing equipment i looked for a good service technician job. I worked that job for over 6 years and learned from a technician named jamie thomas and i can safely say he was one of the best technician's in Pinellas county. While working their i studied through more schooling after passing racca and got my contractor license. while working there the company again sold to another large company which seems like a common theme. So i made a company and believe it not the person that trained me for all of those years is not working with me at my company. So in conclusion i have about 10 years experience in HVAC and went to Pinellas technical college and than went to a 4 year apprentice program and than went to additional schooling for my contractors license. I was taught on the job by people doing hvac for over 20 years and the current other technician we have has been doing it for about 30 years and has also went through Pinellas technical college. in addition for years he worked at ars which is the largest ac company in the united states and did up to 2 installs every day for about 10 years and did service for over 15 years.
