He seems to know about tuning pianos but after two days of four hours each and taking my entire piano apart and taking the hammers home to file down and then "regulate" the keys he still was only half way through the job. He said the tuning would be $250 then said he forgot to add mileage so it would be$300 then talked me into filing the hammers and regulating the keys for an additional $200. 8 hours and 4 days later I gave him$300 as he left saying he would be back the next day to finish. another 4 hours is all I kept thinking. I ended up not being able to be home so he wanted to come the next day .... I had plans. what about Saturday? I had plans. definitely did not plan on 3 days for tuming my piano. He is leaving town for 2 weeks and so I told him we would figure something out when he returns. I had to put my piano back together myself. then I sat down to play some. Now granted, a concert pianist I am not but I can tell absolutely no difference in the keys he has regulated and the keys he has not. It does sound like it's in tune but definitely not 8 hours worth of work. And I have a chess set on my occasional table so he decided he wanted to play a game of chess. Very unprofessional and sorry I paid him the$300. It was not worth the money. The last guy I had tune my piano took 2 hours. This guy might be okay if you have a grand piano or have 3 days to sit and wait for him to finish but for a regular tuning? I'd say find someone else.
