Introduction: Instead of focusing and spending an enormous amount of time on the perfect pose, I shoot a multitude of pictures in the process, and in doing so provides me with that most natural, unscripted picture that captures the essence of the person or object. Every session allows me to freeze time and provide memories that can be viewed for years to come and bring a feeling of warmth and happiness. I truly enjoy the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, and when you're capturing relationships and moments, it's easy to develop friendships with the customer.

Michael Whitney did a family reunion photo session for my family in October. He was very professional and patient with our large group of 26. He ended up taking way more pictures than we expected and they all turned out excellent. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not complicated! Flat fee works for me. I use cost effective pricing to match the customers needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm currently tutoring myself in a few new photo editing programs, namely Lightroom.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Initially, I was struck by the work of Herb Ritts, a fashion photographer who was known for his beautiful black and white pictures. As I started in my career and developed my craft and knowledge of the camera, I found myself in situations and opportunities to meet many wonderful people and led me to change my focus on fashion photography to lifestyle photography. My passion for working the camera, and offering my services has developed to a very different career.
