For this list of smaller jobs around the house (an exterior door replacement, some interior molding repair and some exterior wood replacement), my husband and I did the unthinkable and went with our impressions of the first contractor we spoke with. We weren't wrong. Freddie Stapleton came to our house for the estimate, exactly on time and completely professional. He sized the work with economy in mind, went out of his way to source the right materials for an odd bit of repair and provided a reasonable estimate for the total of jobs planned. Freddie took on the work himself, while his team continued larger jobs at other locations. He was punctual and kept in close contact with us when his arrival times couldn't be quite as planned-- there were no major delays at any time during the project. Because of some irregularities in the existing door construction, that part of the work took extra time. In spite of this Freddie did not rush the job. He worked diligently and made careful compensations until the replacement door hung as close to perfectly as he could make it. The new door has a much better set than the old one, with (finally) zero light, air or sound leaking in past the frame. We were not charged additionally for the extended time spent there. Freddie was a complete delight while he was working here. He was fun to talk with, good to our dog and fully respectful of our property and space. He cleaned up the worksites completely and thanked us sincerely for our business. We plan to contact him again for future work and would recommend Palm Valley Contractors to anyone.

Freddie was great. Always communicated eta/status and didn't even mind his work being supervised by my big, ocd dog! He removed the leaky tile threshold in shower and installed smooth marble threshold and new semi-frameless door. Cleaned up and removed all debris. Looks great, doesn't leak, and he stands behind his work. The quotes we had gotten for this job were all over the board, but Freddie stood behind his quote, so there were no surprises, and feel it was reasonable all-things considered. Would certainly hire again.
