Most notable is our dedication to being an environmentally friendly and green oriented business. With all of our (27+) years in the industry we had the opportunity to learn from some of the best, not learn from some of the worst, and develop a business that puts customers and their possessions ahead of anything else.
We basically love it, all but by far interacting with all of the different customers we have the pleasure of working with is what makes our job the one we have chosen as a career. Every customer, their needs, and their possessions are different so no two jobs are the same and that keeps it interesting day in and day out.

Mine was a very tedious unloading containers job that lasted 8 hours total. The day the unload was scheduled was interrupted by heavy rain. There was still 1 container to go and they went above and beyond expectations to get my move taken care of. After the rain stopped a few days later, they came and finished the job in the dark. They were professional, courteous and always had a smile and a kind word for this stressed out customer. Thank goodness I chose 2nd to None.!!!!! They will be the only mover I call.

Can't say enough about 2nd to None Movers! Norina replied to my email the same day and was able to set something up on short notice. I was on a tight budget, as all people moving, and she worked with me to keep the price to a minimum. I told her exactly what I had and she quoted me an exceptional price... When Joe and Andre came to my home, there were a couple extra pieces that were not on my initial list-- they didn't blink twice and took the furniture without question. Very professional, gentle with my furniture, kind, quick, and experienced. I would recommend 2nd to None Movers to any of my family or friends in a heartbeat. If you are looking for no nonsense hard workers, call them! You will not be disappointed!

One of the best moving experiences I've ever been through. They were very prompt in getting back to me once I hired them and showed up to the gig early. They seemed very experience in transporting and taking apart the furniture. I even had to move again the next week and they were more than willing to move me again within a days notice. Highly recommended.

I had an excellent experience with 2nd To None Movers. I had to schedule a move for my father on fairly short notice and Norina made every effort to fit me into their schedule. She returned all calls and messages promptly and confirmed our appointment the day before. Both she and Joe were prompt, courteous, and worked quickly, quietly and very efficiently. Everything was carefully wrapped and packed. They unpacked and did not leave until they were sure I didn't need help with anything else. The pricing was customized to my needs, fair and consistent with what I was quoted up front.
I was very happy with how smoothly everything went and I would highly recommend this professional team. Thanks Joe and Norina!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing system is quite simple and is based on whether a truck is needed, how many men are needed, whether there are stairs or not, what type of items are being moved, and the distance between relocation points. All this is factored in and either an hourly rate or a flat rate can be provided.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The moving industry is more on the level of learn as you go versus continued education. The entire 2nd To None Movers team has plenty of hands on, in the field experience. They are also put through thorough training exercises before joining the team. Despite not having any continued educations to partake in we do, however keep up to date on all the latest in equipment, business technology, and rules and regulations.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I honestly didn't necessarily decide to get into the moving industry. It is the industry of my family. My father has been a mover my entire life and I started going out on jobs with him as early as 13 years old, I am very close to 45 now. Besides my father having spent his entire career as a mover my uncle has also. My uncle opened Kens Moving & Storage in 1982. He operates out of Maspeth, a town in the Burrough of Queens, New York. This business is in my blood, I love it, and I couldn't imagine doing anything else.
