Introduction: You will always excel under my guidance. Whether to help you get leading roles, to help with better tone production, to get ready for a choral audition, or get scholarships (money) for college (even sing karaoke)! I teach all ages from 8 years old to adult students and they thoroughly enjoy their lessons and leave feeling exhilarated. I am a performer, teacher and have sung and taught all over the country, including NYC, Boston, LA, Houston, Minneapolis, Phoenix and Salt Lake City. I now teach in SW Florida (Port Charlotte) and have an extensive on-line lesson clientele. It is my strength to have laser beam focus on what my students need to improve and help reach their full potential.

Singing Lessons

I am enjoying my lessons with Deanna; I'm learning how to sing better and it's giving me more confidence in my daily interactions when my social anxiety strikes! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a voice lesson teacher.

Singing Lessons

I absolutely enjoyed my lessons with Deanna. She balances the lessons based on what your goals are and her expert opinion on areas you can improve. My family noticed the difference in my voice and projection after the first few months. Thank you for your time and for making the lessons fun!
DLP Vocal Studio's reply

Singing Lessons (for children or teenagers)

Deanna is teaching voice lessons to my 15 year old. He wants to increase his range and learn more techniques to get good roles for some upcoming theatre productions. Deanna is a very talented and experienced teacher. I've already seem improvement with only a few lessons he has taken. I would highly recommend Deanna if you are looking for a voice lesson teacher.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

You can either pay for each weekly lesson(s) or monthly. Monthly is preferred (if there are 4 weeks in a month, you pay for 4 lessons, if 5 weeks in a month, you pay for 5 lessons).

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I recommend booking a single lesson so we can see how we work together and I can assess your voice. We then decide how to proceed from there!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (N.A.T.S). I have a degree in vocal performance from The College of Wooster in Ohio and studied for my masters degree in vocal performance at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. I have won many vocal competitions in addition to have made my solo debut at Lincoln center in 1996. I have performed in many summer stock and professional companies throughout my life and have learned an enormous amount about teaching through performing. I have been teaching private voice for nearly 20 solid years.
