- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically a 15-minute phone call will allow us to understand the project scope and timing. This is usually followed by on on-site meeting to discuss the project in more detail. A simple proposal document is submitted for approval and then I get started with a small retainer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Masters degree in Architecture from the University of Virginia, followed by three years of internship and then State Licensing exams. Ongoing education classes in new materials and code changes are required.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Designed my first house in 10th grade. To my great surprise and delight, my parents built the house two years later!
