What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the hour with a minimum of two hours basic package. Additional time or artists can be added depending on the size of the event.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Customer would contact me to coordinate on rates, location, schedule and services required, then a confirmation email is sent with all provided details of the event as well as a clear and comprehensive contract for the client to review and correct if needed and finally, after deposit has been received, a deposit confirmation email is sent as well. I contact the customer two days before the event, just as a friendly reminder and to make sure we are all on the same page.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Face & Body Art International Conventions, Face painting and balloon twisting individual training, workshops and jams.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have two daughter's who always wanted to get their faces painted. However, my background in art permitted me to expand my horizons (I paint murals and do canvas painting using acrylics and oils)
What types of customers have you worked with?
I do face painting, balloon twisting and balloon decor for private birthday parties and for community & corporate events such as Grand Openings, Customer and/or Employee Appreciation parties and church events among other services I provide. I have worked with recurring customers for years as all of them are extremely satisfied with my services, best-practices and professionalism.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I worked painting faces at The Tampa Kids Convention and doing balloon twisting at EL Dia De La Familia (Hispanic Heritage celebration) recently and had a blast with the crowd. A large number of faces painted and balloons twisted but yet handled with professionalism, flexibility and friendly attitude. Birthday parties are simply amazing to work at. I've never had a negative experience in my career and constantly strive to provide the highest best service in my area!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would definitely recommend people to do a little research before hiring an entertainer such as myself. Visit their website, visit their social media pages (Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, etc), call them, inquire about the supplies used, their safety and hygiene procedures and best practices. Make sure you feel comfortable with the artist, her/his attitude, organization skills, customer service skills and background check if possible.
