FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on the property location, size, visit frequency, time required, number of pets, and services requested. We provide clear pricing before service begins, and additional work is discussed and approved in advance. Our house-sitting and home-care pricing generally covers a scheduled, photo-documented property visit rather than continuous daytime or overnight occupancy. Overnight stays are available only when specifically agreed upon. Recurring schedules and multiple services at the same property may qualify for package pricing. Pool care, pet care, extended vendor supervision, storm-related visits, urgent requests, guest preparation, and properties outside our local service area may be priced separately.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin with a conversation to understand the property, travel dates, visit frequency, pets, concerns, and requested services. For ongoing house-sitting or home-care clients, we prefer an initial walkthrough to review access instructions, alarm procedures, emergency contacts, utilities, pool equipment, mail handling, pet routines, and property-specific priorities. We then create an agreed checklist for each visit. After service, we provide a clear update with photos when appropriate. If we observe anything requiring attention, we notify the owner promptly and follow the agreed response instructions. Because VASE is personally managed, clients communicate directly with the person responsible for their service.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our experience combines luxury hospitality, real estate, animal care, logistics, procurement, vendor coordination, and project organization. Eric is a former Ritz-Carlton concierge and a Florida-licensed real estate professional. He previously managed a pet store in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where he personally cared for boarded dogs and coordinated grooming services. He also holds a Schneider Electric Data Center Certified Associate credential and has completed Google coursework in project initiation and project management. Andrea previously operated a private chauffeured transportation service serving Denver International Airport and currently works in procurement management. Her experience includes guest service, scheduling, vendor coordination, documentation, purchasing, and time-sensitive operational support. These backgrounds support an organized, discreet, checklist-driven approach to property and pet care.
