I pride myself on being very custom. I am going to ask a lot of questions and try to deliver EXACTLY what YOU need and want, and not my idea of what I think is best for you. Also, I have been told over and over that although my cakes look great, it's their taste that keeps people coming back for more. I make an excellent tasting cake! The creativity of it. It's my art. I love to sing and dance and I do both pretty well, but baking and designing cakes is incredibly fun and rewarding. And when I do it well, the praise and acknowledgement of the happy customer, keeps me going. :-)

Shelly was able to take our forest theme and turn it into a completely awesome cake. I must have had at least 15 people come up to me to tell me it was the best cake they'd ever had at a wedding. They especially loved the coffee/espresso flavors. Delivered on time and beautifully set. She is also very easy to work with and excellent communication. Thank you, Shelly!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved to cook and bake. And I always thought I was pretty good at it. But I went to a cake decorating class at my local craft store because my 14 year old daughter wanted to go. We went together and had a blast. For the class I had to decorate a cake and I did one for my friend who was having a birthday. They LOVED it! That hooked me. It was so fun! I didn't really stop from that point on.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When requesting a quote, try to give as much information as possible. How many people will the cake need to serve? Do you want fondant or butter cream? Add photos of ideas you have for the cake. Information like this helps the person giving you the quote to be accurate.
