LIVE MUSIC I can provide live music for all types of events - Corporate, holiday, fundraisers, weddings, parties… All kinds of music from acoustic / classical to jazz, funk, soul, rock, funk, pop, R & B. Bands range from solo or duo up to 5 or more piece with instruments and vocals. Current Bands: PG3 - Paul Griffin Trio. Drums/vocals , bass, and piano or guitar. Variety from jazz classics including instrumental like Miles Davis, some vocals like Sinatra, pop like Van Morrison, R & B like George Benson, etc. Crescendo Amelia Big Band - American Songbook, swing /pop / big-band. DRUMS / PERCUSSION / VOCALS I perform as needed for various groups looking for a drummer or percussionist. I also sing background and lead vocals. My specialty is performing with little or no rehearsal. DRUM LESSONS I teach drum lessons only to serious students who are willing to practice. Snare drum, rudiments, reading, technique. Drum set - how to play all different styles of music, technique, independence and tuning, learning songs. My goal is to make you into a versatile gigging drummer. Please note that my teaching studio is in Nocatee, about 30 minutes from central Jacksonville or downtown Saint Augustine. STUDIO RECORDING I have a small home studio. I can record drums and percussion (my specialty) and any other instruments. I have recorded demos for other musicians and full albums. MUSIC PRODUCTION / COMPOSITION I can arrange and compose music based on customer needs. I compose original music and collaborate with other songwriters to create sellable demos, etc. SONGWRITING / SOUNDTRACKING for FILM If you have a song idea fully or partially developed, I can continue development into a demo or release or whatever goal you have for your song. Paul, thanks so much for recommending the Dave Ott trio to us.  All three were very excellent young musicians with a great repertoire and the talent to successfully tackle requests that weren't in their songbook.  This trio were the highlight of my wife's retirement party and a hit with all in attendance. We hope to hire them again soon.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is always negotiable. Please do not assume that my music is anything less than professional based on price - there are many pros out there charging more money because they make a living with music. With all due respect to them, I am usually happy to give some discount when needed, or if asked. My goal is to provide great quality music at reasonable prices.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The most important thing is to find out what type of music is needed and the type of event. That way I can be sure to match the music to the event appropriately. This can be done in a few short emails. I would rather not take a booking if my music is not desired.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 40 years of experience playing all kinds of music in many venues. I work with similar professional and semi-professional musicians with diverse backgrounds to offer the best quality music for any event.
