Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: One of the first things I ever learned about photography is that it’s both an art and a science. I remind myself of this every time I pick up a camera. While this business may be new, my photography experience is extensive. As a Photojournalist and a nationally certified Registered Biological Photographer (RBP) with 42 years of professional experience in photography, I can offer a variety of photographic styles to ensure the final images are as you desire them to be. Because we have a varied selection of lenses, the range of options we can offer goes from large groups to portraits; weddings and other special events; photomacrography, clinical and forensic documentation. My philosophy is that the photograph should be perfect when taken rather than needing computer enhancement to 'get it right'. Still, I can provide computer enhancements or special effects. Either way, I will strive to ensure that you are 100% happy. Anyone can take a picture. It takes a photographer to create a photograph.

I had the rare privilege of being one of Tom’s students at US Bio-Medical Photography School. I learned a great deal from him. He instilled, in me, the meaning of paying attention to detail. His grading of my submissions was meticulous and honest. Tom taught me the importance of doing the best job the first time because as a photographer there often is not a second chance. People entrust professional photographers to capture their most intimate and cherished moments. There is no room for error when working in fractions of seconds. Tom understands details, but even more importantly, he understands people. He does this work out of true passion and with great humility. Tom influenced my own work and life in a very positive way and I am confident he will do the same for you.

We contracted with Tom a couple of times. He was on time and ready to work. His many years of experience can be seen in every photograph.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Military discounts of 15% are always available. Anyone referring someone who books with us will receive a discount or refund of 10%. Depending on the event, a 25% non-refundable deposit will be required to book an event. Images By Eichling retains the rights to the photos for use in displays and advertising.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Once a client contacts us about booking with us, I will meet with the client at least once and likely two or three times. This may be via email or chat, via phone, and face to face. A list of special attendees at the event and key things to photograph will be made and approved by the client. This will all be accomplished no later than 48 hours before the event. Within a week after the event, the client will receive the digital photos. If prints are requested, there will be an additional charge to cover the cost, as well as additional time for prints to be done and prepared for delivery to the client.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I was trained as a Photojournalist in Fort Lauderdale, FL, while working for the Fort Lauderdale News / Sun-Sentinel and the (now defunct) Hollywood Sun-Tattler Newspapers. I was also a 'stringer' working freelance for the AP and UPI wire services. Joining the Navy in 1980, I then attended the Navy Biomedical Photography Technician School and graduated at the top of my class. Several years later, I was assigned as the Senior Instructor and Department Head for the school. During this time, I completed the national certification as a Registered Biological Photographer through the Biocommunications Association. I went on then to serve as the Practical Exam Coordinator for the Board of Registry as well as the Director for Communications on the Board of Governorsl
