He also performed on ads for Nike, etc. Still, survival dictated new strategies as he again changed into a solo pianist playing in hotels and 12 years in the cruise industry. He quit just about the time they stopped hiring him. Through out all of it, he kept a private life of composing and recording. "It's the most fun I can think of having in a day," he says.
