Hi, My name is Elena, I’ve recently moved here from New York where I’ve done open water marathon swimming and winter swimming myself and teaching pool and open water swim lessons. I am a NASM certified personal trainer and swim coach/instructor. I’ve been teaching swimming since 2011, full time until 2019 and part time since then as I’ve switched careers and have a full time job, but swimming and especially teaching it to others remains my passion. I miss teaching so currently looking for 2-3 adults or kids I could train in my free time. I have my full time work 8.30 to 5 pm on weekdays so looking to teach after 5 pm on weekdays or weekend mornings when the sun is not as strong. My availability will be very limited, so only looking for 2-3 people max, preference will be given to those who are located closer to me geographically. Thank you for understanding. In health, Elena

I just came from my first session with Elena. All the reviews below mine are spot on. I've had a fear of open water since I was 3 years old. Elena not only saw my discomfort being in the water but also was able to suggest what to do in order to overcome that. 15 minutes into my session, she was able to help me deal with my fear and float. Which is something that I've been wanting to conquer all my life! I look forward into our future sessions because I can tell that I love the way she teaches. Key points to take away for her teaching style: -She's attentive to your comfort level and body language. -She's is VERY descriptive and has a way to explain things to do so any skill level can understand. -She is SO knowledgeable, if there is a technique that is not working out for you, she'll quickly suggest another one that will help you understand better (with me it was with the buoy float). -She is very patient and understanding! -Most importantly: Safety. Never once in my session did I ever feel like I was in danger or anything like that. For someone with a fear like mine, this was SO important! See you next session Elena! -Bao
