I provide a high level of drum lessons for individuals of all ages who desire to learn how to play drums extremely well. My students always have fun and make progress. I am a high caliber, energetic, expressive, explosive drummer in my live performances. I'm also a lead singing drummer. As a caring, nurturing and patient drum instructor my lessons will significantly benefit beginner, intermediate and advanced students regardless of their age. This and so much more is conveyed in my lessons with students. My teaching skills come from a background and experiences that remain unparalleled by most other drum instructors. I am thrilled to inspire young and older drummers to be the best rhythm masters that they can possibly aspire to be. To achieve all that they can and more is what I want for all students. Drum lessons can be at the students home or at my home. A nominal additional cost for travel time is added.

Russell is an amazing drum instructor for our 15-year-old son who has been playing drums for many years. He is extremely talented, patient and has a high degree of technical and musical knowledge. I believe our son will continue improve exponentially as Russell provides guidance, support and training. They also have fun together! That is a very important part of the experience.

My son Dustin has gone from an uncertain child drummer to a confident teen drummer in his lessons with Russell. Russell is a patient, kind, inviting, encouraging, and most of all, inspiring teacher. He has a seemingly easygoing manner of teaching with the student, while his good nature is coupled with a sharp focus on the student's individuality, growth and progress. He wants nothing more than for your child to succeed , to feel great about their drumming, and to reach ever higher levels of proficiency. Three years and I couldn't be a happier parent. Now he is at his first year in a Boarding School yet one of the top things he wants to do when he comes back for the Holidays is have some lessons with his favorite teacher, Russell.

My rates are very reasonable and I usually keep students longer than the allotted time because we are having fun and making progress.

Every student is handled on an individual basis.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over 40 years of live shows, playing in approximately 100 bands, playing over 1,000 cover songs and in many original bands, studio recording and over 12 years of drum instruction. Also, College Jazz Ensemble, Music History, Music Theory and several years of drum instruction.
