Introduction: I have my degree in music, most teachers teaching privately do not! I have an actual lesson plan developed that suites the needs of my students. My lessons are fun but also educational. I can teach students how to read music. When you take lessons with me you'l get sound fundamentals that will enable you to choose which ever musical path you'd like I love the joy people have when they see how easy it is to play they're favorite song just after a few short lessons :-)

My son, Soencer, took guitar lessons from Gene for over 2 years and really enjoyed it. He went from knowing just a couple of cords to really being able to play. Gene taught him how to read music and to love playing guitar. He still takes classes at school but misses working with Gene.

Gene has taught my son acoustic, electric & bass guitars for much of four years, including a "rock band." My son had four other teachers before we found Gene. Now he practices on his own, has learned music theory, reads sheet music, and enjoys a large variety of music (classics to pop). My son's middle school jazz band even earns Superior ratings.

Had my students perform on top of Celery Fields for a Rainbow Run 5K.....It helped raise money for teens with cancer.
