Introduction: Lil’ Guppies was started in the summer of 2006 in Los Angeles, CA, by owner and lead instructor, Amy Diamond. Lil' Guppies has now expanded to Sarasota and Tampa areas of FL! Private, semi-private, small group and Parent & me lessons are all offered throughout both Los Angeles, Sarasota, Tampa and surrounding areas. Lessons start for children as young as 4 months old. Adult lessons are also offered for those wishing to refresh their skills in the water or even for those who never quite got their feet wet! Our students will not only develop swimming and water safety skills, they will also gain strength, self-confidence, and experience the many benefits of “water therapy!” Lil' Guppies also offers lifeguarding services for parties & special events, as well as training to become certified CPR & First Aid instructors, babysitters and certified lifeguards. Water safety and drowning prevention are our first and foremost focus and priority.

I had been searching for a highly qualified swimming instructor to teach my five-year-old son swim lessons from home, during the pandemic.
I had left information for several programs in town but no one got back to me. One of my friends recommended Lil Guppies swim school. The owner, Amy immediately responded when I reached out. She was so accommodating and professional! The very next day I had a wonderful Swim Instructor, Coach Brandon at my home.
He has been terrific with my five-year-old son. Patient, laid-back, and the right amount of enthusiasm. Basically my son thought he was just playing in the pool LOL. Meanwhile, the very first day he was putting his face in the water and beginning swimming!
This has been a fantastic experience! I highly recommend lil Guppies swim school! Learning to swim is so Important and I could not have asked for a better Swim Instructor for my son! My son loves to swim and thinks the world of his teacher. Thanks to coach Brandon, he has a healthy attitude about swimming!
