Kyle was very knowledgeable and straight forward about everything I needed to get to the finish line. I received my stamped plans In about 2 weeks and was very satisfied with them. They got everything right on the first try. Will be using Holmes drafting over and over again in the future!

They helped me draft a great plan for my addition here in Wesley Chapel and were attentive to all the changes that needed to be done. They are reasonably priced too which helps a lot. Laura it looks like you and I are having the same experience. I paid more to have it completed fast. That's a joke. It has now been with Engineer for 4 weeks, This is after they said oh go ahead and pay it will be done by Friday. I gave them 2 projects, they are failing on both right now. They will be getting another review on that project if I do not have it as well. I got truss drawing done. How do you have truss drawing completed properly without having ceiling heights on the drawings? Rhetorical, you can't if the ceiling heights change. How can you put windows on the face of the house if you have trusses there? Again rhetorical. I have had maybe 2 changes on one of the projects, many corrections but Lucas calls those changes and are not his fault. ok add a week for an hour change. Its coming up on 5 full months on a remodel and a house in which I gave them the base plans. I will have someone else explain that debacle on the next post. I will also add the drawings and if they allow it transcript of taped conversations.Laura I met with them in the office a week or so ago and they were terrific and met all my needs. Even though I could kick Kyle's butt in golf he's Ok. Lucas as well was helpful in the completion of my drawings. So in short Laura, go to the office as nothing clears up misunderstandings as a face to face.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We try to make our pricing as transparent as possible. There's no added fees or "gotcha" marketing here. When we schedule our on site appointment, your Project Coordinator will be able to give you your flat rate and everything that is included in that amount. You will pay half down for our team of drafters to get started on your project and you are fee to make as many changes as you desire throughout the process.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every project we encounter is unique, but the process remains the same regardless of the complexity. We will schedule a time for our Project Coordinators to meet you on site and go over your project in detail. They will be your primary contact in every interaction with our company. Depending on the type of project you have, there will usually be 2-3 review periods where our staff shows you the preliminary drawing and gets your input before moving on to the next step. Once your satisfied with the plans we send them to our engineer for final review and approval. Your plans will be digitally delivered to you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team’s background combines formal drafting education, engineering coordination experience, and years of field-based construction knowledge.
We’ve worked closely with licensed Florida engineers and contractors across hundreds of residential and commercial projects, which has built a deep understanding of the Florida Building Code, zoning regulations, and permitting processes in counties throughout the state.
In addition to traditional drafting and CAD training, our staff participates in continuing education focused on code updates, energy compliance, and digital design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and advanced plan management systems.
That mix of education and practical experience allows Holmes Drafting Services to bridge the gap between design, engineering, and construction — ensuring every set of plans is accurate, efficient, and ready for approval.
