FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There are a few things considered when pricing. It's always useful to discuss the clients budget, this way it can be made clear of the expectations of price. For instance typically for just mixing the charge is $100. But if your budget is only $50 there are options for us to work with the client. In some cases mixing could be charged by the hour but for simplification flat rates are usually better. However for "Class A" artists such Mariah Carry, Alicia Keys, Drake, Lil Wayne, Jay Z, etc. these type artist are charged a lot more for our services. Recording rates are usually charged at $35/hour. Mastering rates start at $25/song and up depending on the project and artist. Editing is usually included with the mixing but may vary depending on the artist. Production/Beats - Range from $100 - $500 for non-exclusive rights and $600 and up for Exclusive Rights. Again it mainly depends on the artist and budget. I will work with you!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I like to discover their successes and failures. This helps in tailoring the right solution or process for future endeavors. I tend to ask a lot of questions to help me better understand the client needs and/or wants.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm formally educated in Recording, mixing and mastering. I received this education from Full Sail University. I finished my education with a Bachelor's of Science in Recording Arts. I also have an MBA with concentration in Project Management which directly helps with coordinating sessions and other business related to audio recording and entertainment.
