FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When music lessons are paid for in advance, I charge $32.50 per one half-hour lesson. Lessons are purchased in blocks of four lessons at a time. The cost for a block of four lessons is $130. Many students choose one hour lessons. These cost $65 per one hour lesson. When purchased in a block of four the cost is $230.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I play in Church on Sundays and frequently at other times. I also perform in several secular bands where I am the leader and also serve as a side man in others musical projects. This applied, practical, and ongoing experience constantly refreshes the music and teaching materials I use.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My dad was a fifth grade teacher and a elementary school principal. My mother taught first grade. During my career as a software engineer I always had an extreme passion for music. When the company i worked for, at the time, offered Senior Engineers an opportunity to retire, I took it. I moved to Florida, changed careers, and have been teaching music ever since. I think the genes from my parents for teaching were already inside me. They just needed a chance to come out.
