FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently free-lance for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. We have quarterly trainings on new up and coming products and trends to stay ahead of the game. Because I have my full specialist license, I am required to keep up with educational training and renew my license every year.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been a makeup junkie since the age of 3. My mother, aunt, and cousin are all cosmetologists and my grandmother sold makeup so I grew up in the beauty industry. I went to school at AVEDA for my full specialist license because I grew up with terrible skin and wanted to learn how to help others who had the same issue. I worked in a salon for 4 years and realized I wanted to work for myself and focus more on events. I think understanding everyone's skin type is important when applying makeup, which is how my skincare background comes into play.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of events for lashes, makeup, and spray tans are weddings, bachelorette parties, dance teams, fitness competitions and photoshoots
