- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly seeking further education. I have received training in biotherapeutic drainage, and recently I received my "Neuro Curriculum Certification" from Neuro Science Inc. I am working on a certification in biotherapeutic drainage, and we are required to complete a number of CEUs every two years to maintain our license.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After many years as a paramedic, I saw many patients whom were not getting the treatment that they needed. Their symptoms were being masked by pharmaceuticals and their conditions were not improving. I decided to make the jump from traditional western medicine to Chinese medicine in part due to my own experiences with acupuncture, and to provide a much needed resource to our local population.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most commonly we treat pain syndromes, but we are able to treat a wide variety of conditions. Most will benefit from a combination of acupuncture and herbs, but we always start with acupuncture.
