FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified personal trainer and nutrition specialist. I've been in the fitness business for over 20 years. I have a BA in psychology, and did some graduate work in psychology as well. I am a former collegiate athlete. I am also the trainer and injury specialist for my daughter's competitive traveling soccer team. I've also worked with the local high school track team, as well as trained all the youth in the entire soccer association. I am very skilled in working with someone who has or has had injuries. My typical clients are ages 9-18, and ages 30-60.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I ran track and was a cheerleader for my entire youth. I got a full scholarship for cheerleading in college. Many members of my family were facing devastating health problems and I was determined to stay physically active and eat right after college so I wouldn't face any of those health issues. I am now 44 and look and feel great! I wanted my children to know how to take care of themselves by watching me. I broke the cycle!❤
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My best advice would be to simply talk to the trainer that you would like to hire and see if your personality matches theirs. If they make you feel comfortable and answer your questions the way you'd like, then give them a try. Make sure to ask for proof in pictures of their clients!
