I am an experienced lifestyle and family portrait photographer looking to build his wedding portfolio. Every knows it, but most people won't admit it, having your picture taken can be stressful and unpleasant! This is because most people don't know how to look when they are in front of a camera. I pride myself in working closely with my clients to coach them how to pose so we can avoid those awkward photos we see everywhere. I enjoy working with my clients and getting them to create authentic expressions and then capturing that moment for them to have forever.

Ian is so patient and an amazing photographer. He takes his time and if you are not a pro at posing he works with you to get that perfect shot. He makes you feel comfortable and never rushed and that's important. If you decide to go with him, I promise you will not be disappointed he is the best.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If you are hiring me for a wedding I want to make you aware that my rates are lower than typical because I am building my portfolio and do not have a lot of experience with weddings. After I make that crystal clear and the client understands, I like to speak with them and find out what their desires and expectations are. I like to be completely up front my clients so that neither of us have unrealistic expectations. Whether this is a wedding or a 30 corporate headshot, I like to put a game plan together with them and answer all of their questions. Since most people have little to no experience having professional pictures taken, I try to guide them through the process and bring up issues that they may not be aware of, for instance, best time of day for lighting, type of clothing/outfits, etc.
