Katrin to the rescue! My high school sophomore son was in the last few months of German II. After speaking with the teacher, it became clear he was struggling, and wouldn't pass the class without a lot of help. I don't speak German, so I used Thumbtack and found Katrin. After explaining the situation, she was happy to dive right in (there was no time to waste--it was March and his final exam was in May). She worked with my son diligently, patiently explaining the grammar, and going through his assignments with him to be sure he understood the vocabulary. The school German teacher had health problems, and was often absent, so Katrin offered extra tutoring sessions and I gladly took her up on it. I sent photos of my son's paperwork so she could review it with him. To be honest, she went from tutor to teacher. So how did it turn out? My son ended up going from a F in March to a solid B. And that was his final grade for the semester...a B! When I asked my son, he told me how much he liked working with Katrin, and said, "I learned more German from her than I did from my school teacher." I can tell you that she's an absolute gem and a pleasure to work with. She's willing to go the extra mile to help students. If you're wondering who might be a good person to teach you or your student German, I can highly recommend Katrin without any reservations!

Katrin listened to my needs and taught me what I needed to know to meet my goals. She was very accommodating, working around my very early schedule. Her hourly rate was very reasonable allowing me to have 4 sessions a week which was very important due to my short timeline. I have really enjoyed working with her and I highly recommend her as a German tutor.
