FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I've found that most people want to know how much they're gonna pay beforehand. For this reason, I have a flat rate for most of the services I provide. In the quote you get from me, you get how much my fee is as well as what's to be expected in exchange. Please know that total customer satisfaction is what I am for in all my works.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process is very straightforward, it's a simple 6-8 steps process. Here are the steps: First, I will have a conversation with you, usually via e-mail or text, understand a little about the issue you're having. Second, we will schedule a pick up time or a working time, depending on what type of services you require. Third, I arrive at the address you gave me, at the time we scheduled and I start working. If I'm picking up equipment, I will start work as soon as I get back. Fourth, I will perform a complete diagnosis of the system, find out what kind of problem we're looking at and formulate an hypothesis based on what I believe the issue is. I will, at this point, let you know that the diagnosis has been completed and what the different hypotheses are. Fifth, I will prove my hypotheses and let you know what I've found. At this point, if the issue is only software related I will back up your files and start working on solving your issue, once the issue is dealt with my work is done, skip to "Last step". However, if the issue is hardware related I will find you quotes on all the needed parts. Sixth, if parts are needed, I will give you my professional opinion as to what to buy and whether it's worth it to put any more money on your equipment, sometimes it doesn't make any sense. I will give you prices from top tier retailers and let you decide on how to proceed. I do not place a markup on parts. I get paid for "Consulting Services" so I have a fiduciary obligation to you to get you the best possible deal. Seventh, I get the parts from the provider, replace old parts with new ones, install drivers, make sure they are working properly. All this is included as part of my fee. Last step, I run additional tests, performance optimization, and take care of OS updates as well as security updates. I then schedule a time with you to drop off your perfectly working PC. All my work is guaranteed for 90 days on the same issue, which means that, if during the 90 days after delivery your computer fails again for the same reason, you send me a text or e-mail and I'll repeat this process for you, at no cost.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
