FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When onboarding a new client, my first priority is gathering detailed information about their pet. I want to understand their temperament, past grooming experiences, sensitivities, medical history, and the owner’s expectations. I require all pets to be up to date on vaccinations to ensure a safe environment for everyone. Before the appointment, I answer any questions and address concerns so pet parents feel fully comfortable and informed. My goal is to create a calm, positive experience tailored to each individual dog’s needs while maintaining clear communication with the owner every step of the way.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended school to become a veterinary assistant between the ages of 18–20, where I gained knowledge in animal handling, safety protocols, and foundational veterinary medicine. Beyond formal education, my growth has come through six years of hands-on industry experience in both daycare and grooming salon environments, advancing into leadership and corporate positions. I am Pet CPR certified and currently undergoing continued training with a professional groomer who has over 30 years of experience. I also attend grooming expos and dog seminars to stay current on industry standards, techniques, and safety practices. Ongoing education is extremely important to me because our industry is always evolving.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began my career in the animal industry at 19 years old as a dog handler. From there, I was introduced to bathing and grooming support, and quickly fell in love with the hands-on care aspect of the field. Over the years, I worked my way up through daycare and grooming environments into management and corporate-level roles. Each step gave me deeper experience not only in handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments, but also in leadership, safety standards, and client communication. That foundation is what ultimately inspired me to build a business centered around safe, compassionate, and professional care.
