- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always had a passion for teaching since I was a teenager. Every job I have had has gravitated itself toward teaching and communication. Coupled with a talent in problem solving, tutoring delivers to me the opportunity to use my strengths to help others.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with students year round. Some students need a little homework support and some specific practice to fill in gaps. Others only need help for up coming projects and exams. Most students set a regular schedule with me and we meet once or twice a week.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You want to find a tutor that can see through the symptoms your child is experiencing in math to find the causes. They will be sensitive to the learning style of the student and know how to teach them. The right tutor will lead your student to understanding, not deliver it to them.
