Introduction

I am a no-licensed 30+ yrs electrician. I have always worked under a licensed contrator. I have a 4-yr technical schooling certificate. I have always guaranteed my work,as I do great work(as if I were doing it for my own). I always do it according to code or above code specs. The completion and the end result and the customer's satisfaction and praise!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Usually,I charge a trip charge( after getting as much info/pics/etc.from the client)to assess the costs. Then,I tell them how much labor(hourly or by the job...just depends) and give them the material list ( to save them money,otherwise,I charge extra for ordering/picking it up)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Learn on the job, as the inspector will either pass or fail your work. If he fails it, then you look at the code he stated and the fix it.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was young and wanted to make more money and to learn a trade/skill that I could use throughout my life and to help others. I was given 2 applications by a friend, to be either an electrician or a plumber. I asked him what he did-looked at how nasty he got, he said "plumber" and I said Electrician!!!
