FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work alone most of the time so I can charge a lower price. I send quotes based on what is presented to me. I will have to charge a $3.00 dispoal fee per tire. Some jobs will include a landfill fee, which varies, if it can't be recycled. Some stuff is recyclable, such as, electronics and any kind of metal products. If I dont have to charge a landfill fee, I won't! I will donate stuff to goodwill if it is in decent condition and save you the landfill fee. If I think a job requires a landfill fee, I will include that in my quote. I will not charge an astronomical price based on how much space it takes up in my truck. I usually charge by travel and labor I think will be involved, it doesn't matter about the size of the load. Unless it is 2 or more pickup truck loads then I will have to charge per load.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to be fair and upfront with quotes. I want to earn your business by giving the lowest quotes that I can. I believe in charging a fair and honest price. I do my best to make a good impression. I believe in helping people, so I will ask questions to ensure you are satisfied.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
There isnt really any special education to know just common sense, good work ethic, and being prepared. Some stuff I've learned along the way, such as how to dispose of certain items, along with some rules and regulations about waste disposal. Knowing some DOT regulations certainly won't hurt either. Some things require an extra fee because the special handling Of certain items. Certain landfills are strict on what they take and some charge high fees for tires, tv's, mattresses, etc.
