FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on client consultations. More specifically, it is based on how much time is spent on creating a look, the distance I have to travel and the type of makeup I am doing. For instance, bridal makeup is slightly more expensive than prom makeup would be, due to the types of products and amount of time I'd spend. Special effects makeup pricing is based on intricacy and size of the look that I am doing, as special effects is not just limited to the face and is a more specialized service. Generally, my pricing for traditional makeup will not exceed $50 per person.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly researching new applications techniques and reading reviews on all of the latest products. I keep up with several makeup blogs as well as follow many other makeup gurus through websites like YouTube, MakeupGeek.com and MakeupAlley so I can keep my skill sets and designs up to date.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Makeup has always been something I have been passionate about. It stems from my love of art and creation. I believe that, as an artist, the biggest decision you have to make is your medium that you will create with. For me, makeup just seemed to be a natural thing that I fell into and in love with. I love traditional makeup, but I have recently developed a strong devotion to theatrical and special effects makeup.
